For budget-conscious gamers, the Switch Lite provides access to the massive Nintendo Switch library at a fraction of the cost. If you’re new to the Switch and don’t want to buy the original console, the Lite is a fantastic entry point. It also won’t be obsolete after the Switch 2 comes out—keep reading to see why.
2. Portability: The best Switch for travel and handheld mode
Unlike the standard Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, the Switch Lite was designed specifically for handheld gaming. It’s smaller, lighter, and more comfortable to hold for extended periods.
